Jan 15, 2013 5:42 AM in response to max19811by nathan2103,It's amazing but you cannot cancel an Apple ID. You can call support, but they cannot cancel an account! Dissassociate it from iTunes. Any purchaces on the account will be lost. Delete all personal information and any alternate email address. Next save.. now for the last step, change the primary email address to @noemail.com or something. This will change the Apple ID. Once you logout, the account will essentially be gone. To gain access, use the fake email and your password. Since the email won't verify, you will need to change it to a real email and verify if you ever want to regain access.

May 15, 2013 8:31 AM in response to max19811by Carole Faye,I would like to cancel my ITunes account. I was charged $ 1.07 for an ITunes that I thought was free.
I don't like being charged, especially on my credit card. I am sending a check for the &1.07 today.
PLEASE CLOSE THIS ITUNES ACCOUNT.
Thank You,
Carole Rickert

May 15, 2013 8:36 AM in response to Carole Fayeby King_Penguin,You are not talking to iTunes Support on these public forums - I've asked the hosts to remove your email address and phone number from your post.
Have you checked to see if the app was free, or did you make any in-app purchases within it ? Some apps are free to download, but they then allow you to make in-app purchases within them to unlock extra features. If you think that you've been incorrectly charged then you can contact iTunes Support via this page : http://www.apple.com/support/itunes/contact/ - click on Contact iTunes Store Support on the right-hand side of the page, then Purchases, Billing & Redemption

Feb 5, 2014 7:57 AM in response to max19811by Laura Rodeck,I have a Galaxy S4 phone now and have not been able to receive Text messages. When I contacted the Verizon store he told me that it is because I previously had an Iphone and I needed to "unregister my apple ID from Imessage".
