Does using the "Show Percentage" Option use any battery?

Does having it show the percentage use any more of the battery? If so how much more? Oh, and my back lit keyboard doesn't adjust to light very well. If I go into a brighter room it gets brighter but gets much darker if I'm in a dark room. I've reset the PRAM, and the SMC as well. And since I reset the PRAM I hear the superdrive everybootup now, any way to fix? Thanks for the help!

1) show percentage. I am just speculating: why should the Mac use more battery if you display the % of battery or not ? and if any difference will be it will be difficult to measure it. My opinion.

2) Keyboard light. In the keyboerd preferenc you can set it to light it according to the exisring light or not. IF you select it the light of the keyboard will react to room light as it happens to you. If you deselect it the light of the keyboard will remain as you set it without recting to room light.
