Q: Printer and scanner

I just installed Mountain Lion and now my scanner form a Caon MX870 can't communicate with my Imac. Any suggestions? I also just downloaded all the updated drivers and software.

Apple indicates it still supports your printer in this article: http://support.apple.com/kb/HT4670

 

Though I have an Epson printer, it seems I had to open System Preferences --> Print and Scan several times till the Scan tab finally appeared.

 

Maybe between that idea and things the article mentions you'll find the solution.  I hope so.
