Each time I open Logic 9 the Audio units manager scans and test all the units before it can load. The process takes about 5-10 minutes. After using it for 2 years it just recently starting doing this. Can this be bypassed? Is there something I've done to cause this to happen. Thanx

You can remove any unwanted plugins from the Components folder, thus speeding up the process. You can also disable any of them within Logic but these still scan on startup.
I know you can disable plugin scan on startup within Maschine for example, so having this option in Logic would also be nice.
I've never been able to find it.
Try setting Logic to open in 32-bit mode, let it scan the AU, shut Logic down, reset to 64-bit ans reopen, it will probably scan once more (maybe not). This has helped some.
