I could use some help; my iPad 3 seems stuck in some sort of mode where the colors are inverted like a x- ray effect on every page including on the web.

under settings, general, accessibility, could it be turned to 'white on black'?
Go to Settings>General>Accessibilty>White on Black>Off.
Settings>General>Accessibility>White on Black>Off
Settings > General > Accessibility > White on Black (Off)
You'll be back to normal after that.
