how to fix imovie hd?

So i have imovie HD and i love using it but i recently got a new computer and stopped using my mac for a while. i started using my mac again and its a power mac g5. i went to open imovie hd and it bounced then stopped and there was a question mark over the icon. i looked up what to to and i found nothing on what to do except to go to disc utilitys and repair disk permisions but it didnt work. so now i dont know what to do. i was thinking about getting ilife 09 but im not sure if my mac will support it.

PowerMac, Mac OS X (10.5.8), it is a powermac g5

Boot to the OS X install disk (insert disc into optical drive, hold C and start). In teh OS X installer window, select the language that you use and move to the next window.

Do not continue with software install.

Instead, in the Menu Bar, select Utilities/Disk Utility.

Use Disk Utility to "Repair Disk" on your startup drive.

After repair, restart normally.

As for iLife '09, your machine will support it, but iMovie '06 is mauch better than 09.

As well, iMovie 09 really runs better on a newer machine.

iLife 06 is fine and really is not outdated.
