Q: using a mac.  ipod gives message of unable to restore error 1435. now what?

now what do I do?

My ipod is not responding.  I got to the disk mode, plugged it intot the computer and it says it detects a corrupt ipod, i click on 'restore' and it gives the error message of 1435 saying it's unable to restore.

iPod classic 160GB (Late 2009), Mac OS X (10.6.8)

    My Suggestions, when Restoring the iPod Classic,

    1. Disconnect all other USB devices connected to the Mac.
    2. Dont use the USB ports on the keyboard
    3. If using a Macbook connect to the USB port nearest to the screen.
    4. Disconnect from the Internet, stop all other Apps except iTunes.
