It seems to break down into two groups. 1) a rogue process, 2) unknown cause that Apple is reportedly working to determine.

Since an unknown number of these reports turn out to be caused by a background process running wild, it is worth checking out. It is also worth turning off PowerNap in the battery energy settings. To check for rogue processes, open the Activity Manager and keep an eye on the CPU usage. If there is any process that seems to be using a large amount of processor cycles without reason, that could be your problem.

My battery was draining fast too. Also too hot like redfarsi. Took it back to Apple today. Diagnostic process said all was well - but I had taken a screen shot of MBA 100% charged with 3.30 time, no applications running. Told them that was unacceptable as it was half the advertised time. They are replacing battery, logic board and I/O board at zero cost.

OK everyone. 24 hours later and all parts replaced. No insane heat and a proper battery life. Early days of course... As a bit of an experiment I downloaded ML onto my Mid 2010 white Macbook. Same Apple ID so no charge. It's behaving properly, 5.5 hours @74%. Will keep you all posted if either dips again.
