I have been able to get Airplay to work with my iPad 3 and 3rd Generation iPad TV, however there is no mirroring option when I hit the airplay icon - hence I can get audio, but no video.
iPad software: iOS 5.1.1
Apple TV software: 5.0.2 (4250)
Any thoughts as to what's going wrong?

Are you enabling Airplay mirroring properly?
Double click the Home button, scroll to the leftmost screen and under Airplay look to turn mirroring On.

There is no mirroring option where it should be. Only Apple TV. In other words, there is no mirroring option to enable.
What app are you trying to mirror? Content providers can restrict some Airplay output to audio only.

I'm just trying to mirror the display. I had safari open at the time.
No ideas?
