Hello, i recently bought a superdrive for my macbook air and it works fine but the problem is when i use it on another laptop. Asus zenbook ux31e, it dones;t work, i couldn;t insert the cd. Does anyone know what i should download or ?? Thank you. Please help me i would really appreciate it.

The Superdrive only works with a MBair, Mac Mini, and a new Retina MBpro.
Something in the firmware..

Mine works fine with Windows on the MBair under a VM.
works in bootcamp as well.
perhaps you could try installing MBAir Bootcamp drivers on your zenbook.
I tried my superdrive with my ThinkPad R60 (without installing bootcamp drivers), but despite the fact Windows recognizes it as Apple USB Superdrive i can't insert any discs in it. When I connect it with a disc already inserted, nothing happens, the disc won't spin up. At least it lets me eject it...
