HP LaserJet no scan supported in ML?!

Until few days ago i printed and scanned normaly with my HP LaserJet 3050. Then, all of the sudden, update came up. I updated and then no print and no scan. I fixed print problem, but now i cannot scan.

When i saw suporrted printers at apple.com i saw that my printer 3050 now has no scan support? WHY?! Why the **** did i bought that printer, if i am not able to use it now? I used it normaly on ML few days ago and now nothing!

Do you know how to fix this scanning problem?

Have you tried resetting the printing system?

System Preferences>Print & Scan, Control+Click or right click on a printer on the left and select 'reset printing system...'. All your printers will be deleted and need to be added again.

If you still have scanning problems after that, you could try using Image Capture in the Applications folder for scanning.

Nothing. Didnt help 😟

Image capture says "no cammera or scanner connected"

And in print&scan configuration, there is no Scan tab. I have lost that 😟

Mmm. Have you tried re-installing the software? http://support.apple.com/kb/DL907

Maybe re-applying it will help.

If that doesn't work, not a solution but a work around, you could try VueScan (a paid for app) that you can run in demo mode to see if it works before paying for it: www.hamrick.com
