I have not upgraded to Lion, not sure I want to, but would like to upgrade to iPhoto 11. Does anyone know how I can do this? When I try to access the Mac app store, the browser goes nowhere. Any help would be appreciated.

The Apple Support Communities are an international user to user technical support forum. As a man from Mexico, Spanish is my native tongue. I do not speak English very well, however, I do write in English with the aid of the Mac OS X spelling and grammar checks. I also live in a culture perhaps very very different from your own. When offering advice in the ASC, my comments are not meant to be anything more than helpful and certainly not to be taken as insults.

No, Lion 10.7.4 is the minimum OS required.

The minimum version of OS X to include the Mac App Store app is OS X Snow Leopard 10.6.6. The Mac App Store is not available as a website with a browser.

If you're running Mac OS X 10.6, find and install an iLife 11 DVD. If you contact the Mac App Store staff, they may send you one.

If you're running Mac OS X 10.5 or earlier, you can't.

Check here to see if you meet the requirements to access the Mac App Store.

I believe the only way to get iPhoto 11 is via the MAS

Updated- Unless as Niel says you can find an ilife 11 DVD which is no longer sold in the Apple Online Store

True 9.2.3 was avalible for a time at the App Store and I also have it for Snow Leopard.

However 9.3.2 the latest version avalible at the App Store, requires one to have Lion or Mountain Lion.

RRFS I see that you edited as I was posting, but that's OK I'll let it ride hoping that it will still help...!

Those number changes they are using for upgrades/updates are getting to me.

    Me too...

The saddest part about the whole mess is, you'd think that Apple would still want to sell 9.2.3 to those 10.6 users that can not upgrade because of system limitations.....?
