Ipad touch screen is not working

Dear All,

My I pad was working fine and all of a sudden found touch screen not working and none of the icons on the screen are responding. Slide button to unlock and also to power off the Ipad are also not working. Only the home button is working and also all the buttons on sides are working normal. SIM card is also working normal but nothing can be used as touch screen is not responding. I am using Ipad 2 16 GB Wifi + 3 G cellular model.

Appreciate good advice from anyone who knows about this issue or has faced similar problem earlier with Ipad.

Thanks & B/regards

Try restarting your IPad, if you can't do it using the slider press the power and the home button at the same time and hold for around 10 sec and that should restart. Happened to me and once I restarted the problem was gone. On another page it also suggests going in a closing all open apps running in the background. To do that pres the home button twice fairly quickly and a tray will come up on the bottom, touch and hold one of the icons and eventually they will start moving and a x will appear on the top left of each one, press them until they are all gone.

Hope this works/helps
