Does apple make a longer charging cable for ipad

Looking for a longer cable for charging my IPad. While traveling recently I thought I saw a gentleman with what looked like a small white device with a power cord attached to it and it seemed like he had his iPhone and iPad plugged into it. Does anyone know of such a device?
