Aug 12, 2012 11:02 PM in response to rexfromkaikouraby Ritute,That's what I also would like to think. But apparently, they don't. And I don't understand why.
I thought once you download it on your iPad that's where it is. But some still need web connection to be used, which means they are not exactly on the iPad itself. And maybe that's why if you buy some apps while in US and then go to Europe, they will not work.
And that is not good at all...
But that's why while activating iTunes, I deliberately chose location of where the iPad is going to be. But I want to get a lot of apps, while the iPad is still in UK, but I don't know if they are "location correct" and will they work.

You must be within the Country with a Valid Billing Address and Credit Card for that Country to use the iTunes Store of that Country...

Aug 13, 2012 1:21 AM in response to AnaMusicby Ritute,Yes, and so I created two different apple IDs. The one on computer, is in UK (with UK billing address). The iPad is Lith.
I want to 'gift' apps from computer to the iPad.
Thank you for the link, I'm going to check it now.

Aug 13, 2012 1:19 AM in response to AnaMusicby Ritute,I've just looked at it. And it says on the list that the only thing is not available in Lithuania is audiobooks. Well, that's fine.
But, if I go back to my original question, does it mean, that anything (except audiobooks) I buy with Apple ID (with UK address) will work in Lithuania on iPad?
(because as I said earlier, I thought that even some apps just will not work, for example, BBC iplayer, or even "new york times magazine" subsciprion.)
Thank you!

Having never tried what you want to do I'm just not sure... But my Understanding is that the Apps need to be Purchased ' in Country '... If you get what I mean...

Aug 13, 2012 1:45 AM in response to AnaMusicby Ritute,I don't know if I know what you mean...
I would buy apps while in UK, using computer. Is that what you are saying I need to do?
And then 'gift' it to iPad which will travel to another country.
hmm.. and still don't know if they are going to work..
Thank you very much for your help. And you did help me

No... I am Not advising you to do anything...

You do realise that anything Purchased with ' UK Apple ID ' is Tied to that ID and Cannot be Transfered to any other Apple ID...

Aug 13, 2012 2:32 AM in response to AnaMusicby Ritute,1. I know you are not advising me that. That's what I'm going to do, or trying. I wanted to clear if I understood you correctly. But, it does not matter now.
2. Yes, I realise that. I want to GIFT an app. And as far as I know, you can do that to anyone, any Apple ID.
Well, there is nothing else to discuss really, because as you said, you don't know the answer to my main question, because you've never tried to do that.
Thank you very much for your time, and that link!
