Photo Booth doesn't play videos anymore

Hi all

Today I realized that, on my iMac Core Duo, Photo Booth doesn't play videos it record ( I saw the thumbnails but screen remains black when I select one) while they can be played by any other player on the computer, and from iphoto and imovie as well if I export them, all after the Mountain Lion update.

The issue doesn't occur with my MacBook Pro i7, with approximately same software installed but I can't find a solution anyway.

Can you help me please? I'm a huge fan of Photo Booth 🙂

After 10.8.1 this issue was solved but now video and audio are not in sync.

So I posted here

I'm having the same problem. In my other macbook, which was running Lion, i haven't had this problem. But now with Mountain Lion, it began to happen. Also, video and audio are not in sync. Is there any solution?

I use OSX 10.8.2

And photobooth version is 5.0.1

Hi Rafa !

Well I have the same problem. Audio and Video isn't in sync. When it works.

But at the moment nothing works with the video function in Photo Booth.

I only see the thumbnail. The screen of Photo Booth remains black on my iMac late 2007 with Mountain Lion on it.😟

Hello volkerfromessen and everyone else

now i have problems with the drag and drop background effect. i can't drop images there anymore. : / haven't found any thread on here talking about this issue.

i'm afraid such issues on photobooth will become more often with time. i'm kind of hopeless that apple will fix it soon.

i haven't had any problem with Lion. but Mountain Lion has been a pain in the ***!

All my photo booth issues were fixed the latest update of OS X Moutain Lion (10.8.3).
