best quality for retail dvd

Hi All,

Sick of waiting for BBC 1, ITV and Channel 4 to get back to me about my fabulous ideas for compelling telly so I'm gonna go straight to the public.

We've done a series and want to sell it - the trouble is I need to cram 207 minutes onto either 1 or 2 dvds.

My questions are....

1) Whats a DECENT (not the best) setting/way/method of getting as much stuff onto a single layer dvd ? I tried low (which was just passable qualitytwize) and the best size I could get was about 1.7 gig.

2) Does IDVD support dual layer ?
