Hi all,
I have my time capsule set and running now for a few weeks. I have an external hard drive which want to connect it to TC and share it over the network.
I connected the HD to the TC and restarted the machine. But I'm not sure why is not showing the HD.
Did I need to reset the TC to make the port sharing work? I just didn't want to reset it before asking the question.

How have you hooked up the hard drive - via a USB cable to the Time Capsule? Or is this a network drive connected one of the ethernet ports?

When you run AirPort Utility, select your Time Capsule, and then go to the Disks tab does the hard drive appear? If so, is Enable file sharing checked?
Well, that's the issue... It doesn't appear there and I don't know what to do to bring it on!
First thing to check is verify that the drive has been formatted in Mac OS Extended (Journaled).....or FAT32. Windows NTFS or exFAT will not work at the USB port of the AirPort Extreme.
If the drive is formatted in Mac OS or FAT32 and it still does not appear, a powered USB hub is likely needed as well.
The drive is inside my KORG Keyboard and I was just advised that the format is FAT32. The HD is powered because it's my Keyboard's.
What could be the issue now?
Ah, so you are connecting your keyboard to the Time Capsule via usb? I don't believe that will work. If your keyboard has an ethernet port and supports sharing of the hard drive you could try running an ethernet cord from your keyboard to your Time Capsule and then seeing if your other computer that are connected to the Time Capsule can see the drive.
