I keep getting a 'To view this page, you must log in to area “Restricted” on staging.examiner.com:80' in Safari..

I could load that site on Safari 6 no problem.

From your Safari menu bar top of your screen click Safari > Preferences then select the Extensions tab.

If you have any installed, turn that OFF, quit then relaunch Safari and try again.

And, if you have anti virus software installed, disable that, try again.

And turn off the Firewall in System Preferences > Security & Privacy > Firewall

Nothing is infecting your Mac. Did you try my suggestions ?????

..and now Firefox seems to have caught this disease.

Since it's both browsers, could be a/v software or the Firewall.

Same here. I keep getting the same pop up and i didnt even visit the examiner.com page.

Reset did not help. Turned off extentions, no dice.

No idea whats going on here.

Interstingly, i'm having the same problem with safari on my iphone. Very strange. Both my macbook Pro and iPhone are on the same wifi network. Pundit, are you using openDNS by any chance?

I am seeing this as well as of about an hour ago. I suspect this has something to do with 1Password? Anyone have that running at the same time?

I'm having the exact same problem, though I'm pretty sure I never visited the examiner site. Tried resetting Safari, turning off extensions and restarting my Mac. Nothing helps! My firewall wasn't even on so I couldn't exactly turn it off. Help please??

I am getting this problem as well.. after I upgraded to Mountain Lion OS

This is also showing when I launch Apps Store..

It is freezing all the windows.. only commad-Q can close the windows.

This is A TOTAL FRUSTRATIONS!! shouldn't upgrade to Mountain Lion.. Wasted $20 and getting all these crab!!
