No sound on Windows 7 Boot Camp

I've had this problem for a while now, I just ignored it in the past, now I'm really fed up. I've tried everything, downloading Realteck, burning BootCamp drivers onto the CD (I have a Lion which came with no disc), I tried playing around with the Sound in Control Pannel. Someone please help me!

THERE IS NO DVD FOR LION

Why not read. When you are at the forums head click Overview. There you find links to "Support" and "Manuals" and you had to have used Boot Camp Assistant and missed the instructions in there, with the "save to disk or print"

You would have had to save the Windows support software in the Assistant too. That is built into Lion version.

Lion is electronic only. With new Macs having only network install (but good idea to SAVE the installer ESD package - before running the install because on restart it auto-destructs and removes it from the hard drive (why they don't keep a tiny 4GB file locally is probably not going to satisfy or ever seem rational and logical).

You have to use Boot Camp Assistant to get the Apple Support Software for Windows.

Then google for Cirrus Logic Audio for Mac running Windows.

Something like this...

MacBook Pro audio sound fix

Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 11)

I tried downloading the "High Definition Codecs" driver from Cirrus Logic's website but the download link doesn't work.

* You are running Vista or Windows 7 on a Macbook
* You have no or low audio/ sound. In macbook pro, you may also see a red light in your audio jack.
*Step 1:* Download the Macbook Pro Cirrus Logic CS4206A Driver from our server.
+(As a request, please do not hotlink this file anywhere else or our server will automatically remove the file from server.)+

+In case the above download link does not work google+ CirrusAudio.10.6.1.zip

*Step 2:* Extract the right type of Driver
(depending on your windows XP/ 7/ 32 bit/ 64bit)

Step3: for Windows 7 only: Right Click on exe file of driver.
Select Properties> Compatibility > run in compatibility mode
Select Windows Vista from drop down menu and Click OK

*Step 4:* Double click the driver and install.

i found the solution!!! =) before install windows on osx lion update your version of bootcamp (check the update manager on osx ), after that proceed with the bootcamp aplication , check that you have 2 options that shows the bootcamp window manager:- install windows 7 and -download addons and drivers ( something like that the important thing and it says literally boot camp gonna download drivers for your mac to make windows work properly) press and check the two options after that the manager gonna burn a cd or dvd with all the download package of drivers ;after that the windows installation begins; minutes later you have windows working in bootcamp and you can think its done but THERES NO SOUND or other things maybe like isight not working or etc ; take the burned cd or dvd and make it run on your actual windows with no sound system , then a windows appear saying it gonna install all the drivers needed for finishing the bootcamp install click yes or accept after installing your mac gonna restart and FINALLy you have windows working on a mac 100% with sound =)

I have a MacBook Pro and I had this same problem after I updated iTunes. I disabled the sound driver and noticed that the red light turned off, so that meant it was a driver problem. So, I tried to re-install the driver, using the automatic driver install from Microsoft, but this never worked.

The solution was to install the Cirrus Logic CS4206A (AB 76) sound driver.

Hope this helps.

I had the same problem no sound when boot camp starts windows 7 64 bit and search for days.

Finally found the right driver that worked.

I have a Mac Mini 2014 - 2.6GHz dual-core Intel Core i5 - 8GB of 1600MHz LPDDR3 memory .

Here's what worked for me - Cirrus Logic CDB4208 (alt config) driver. Once I downloaded it and updated the the sound driver with this. all sound worked. The RealTek drivers didn't work for my Mac Mini 2014.
