I dropped my Ipod and the glass layer is cracked and bits of glass are coming off. There is also one small chip in the white layer of the Ipod. I just got this Ipod in December. Will they replace it or will it cost a lot of money?

If you have the warantee on it, then you can bring it in and they may be able to do something, like fix it or give you money off a new one, but I'm not exactly sure. But it would probably be worth bringing it in to an apple store to see what they can do.

The above information is incorrect. A cracked screen is not covered by the warranty. Apple will replace your iPod with a refurbished one for $99-$199 depending on capacity of the current one. The warranty on the refurbished one will continue until December.
