how to recover my ipod photos using icloud?

i recently got my ipod replaced at the apple store as i had cracked the screen. my new ipod was already on so i did not have the option to restore using icloud. i got all y data back onto my ipod via itunes but i have not been able to get my old photos, where they had photos from concerts and my holiday. i managed to get some back using my photo stream, but most of my photos were taken without internet access. is there a way i can recover these lost photos.
