Q: Focus Points are not shown

Hi Comnunity,

i have a strange problem to show the focus points of any picture in my Aperture.

I use a MacBook Pro Mid 2010 with Mountain Lion and Aperture 3.3.2. My Camera is a Canon EOS 600D, pictures are saved as RAW.

In Aperture, in the Metadata pane (called "Info" in my german version), the icon to show the focus points is available. But when i click on this icon, no focus points are shown.

The same issue, when i call this function via menue.

So itried to find out is this a problem of my picture or of my installation of Aperture. I exported the picture you can see here as original and send it via Airdrop to another Macbook with Aperture (same Version).  On the other MacBook i can see my focus points without any problem.

Any Ideas what to do with my Aperture?

Thanks for any help!

If the "Show/Hide Focus Points" button does not have any effects, you may have a problem with corrupted GUI preferences. I'd try to remove the Aperture Preferences file as described in the Trouble Shooting Basics.

Or the library may have a permissions problem. In that case it might help to repair the permissions; this is also described in the documented linked above.
