iCal to iphone SYNC control

I did a major update on my iMac iCALs and wanted to clean sweep my iphone

so being totally brilliant, I thought I would DELETE all my current iPhone calendars and let the iMAC sync override and place all the new events into a fresh set of calendars.

well

now my iPhone wants to delete ALL THE EVENTS on my iMAC

ALL I WANT is to move all the iMAC ical events and calendars OVER TO my iPHONE for a fresh start.

iTUNES SYNC wants to go both ways

I want to go ONE WAY this time until the events are all fresh on my iPhone

THEN I will allow things to go back and forth

IS THERE ANY WAY to fix my mess?

I NEED my events in my phone right away.

SO LOOKING FORWARD to step by step instructions.

THANKS ICAL COMMUNITY in advance!

PS: I am on the OS10X (no lions for me yet)

and the iPhone is a 4S

AH I had to PSHYC out my iPHONE😕
here is what I did with happy results!

I first EXPORTED a backup file of my iMAC's iCAL (to my desktop in fact)

then using iTunes I just let my iPHONE sync with the iCAL on the iMAC

it wiped out all my data as it warned me it would

THEN

I IMPORTED the backup file to the iCAL on my iMAC to create the correct file

ALL my lovely data was back safe and sound on my computer

then

PSHYC to my iPhone - I used iTUNES to re-sync the data and it all transferred over safe and sound

HOOORAY for my brother in law who had it figured out for me😍

hope this helps someone else someday!😁
