How to import Video to Aperture?

What versions of OSX and Aperture are you using? What video format setting is being used on the camera? For example, if AVCHD, then that was only added in Aperture 3.3 and later, which requires Lion to run.

Support for AVCHD was not added to Aperture until version 3.3, which requires 10.7.x to run.

But iMovie should work with your camera if you do not plan to upgrade to Aperture 3.3.x
