ipod nano games

Just found out that Apple store doen't carry iPod Nano 3rd Generation games any more. I guess their huge file size and heavy server traffic made Apple it hard to continue to the support the product. Everytime I deal with an apple product I continue to be amazed that their so many people who think they are a supperior company in any regard. I find them to be be nothing but marketing geniuses selling snake oil.

No you have to step forward. Click-wheel games came out before the iPhone was released and before the App Store was made available. Anyone with the least amount of the larger view could have predicted the end of the click wheel games (which never really took off anyway) with that move. And once the click wheel Nano was gone it was certain death as there just wasn't enough money to be made from them and you couldn't place ads on them. The 3rd generation Nano is from 6 years ago, a lifetime in small electronic devices.

And if you were a developer would you have continued selling clickwheel games or opted for the App Store on iOS?

Actually the problem was that the vendors (and there never were a lot of them) quit supporting their products and moved on to iOS games where there was more money to be made and a better system. And since the 6th generation no longer had a scroll wheel there really was no further reason to have them given the small market involved.

You don't find a lot of places selling 8 track tapes either.

8 tracks died 30 years ago, and this weekend I could go buy just about any one I wanted. 8track is an entirely different mechanical device.

the Nan0 3G isn't 30 years old, and many of the games were never supported anyway. It's forced obsolenece so I'll buy more hardware crap that will be outdated prematurely. Apple is a marketing firn with mediocre products. One only has to use iTunes to discover the inadequacies of the software.

It's one thing to stop supporting and warranting a product, and quite another to cut off all metion of it or connection to other addons. They still have links to Ipod Nano, but whe you click them you find yourself on Iphone and Ipad web pages. (Not on a page that says the Nano3G id no longer supported, and you are no longer allowed to buy any software for it.)

You just have to step back, get a larger view, and not buy into the hype.
