Why did Apple sold the OS X Mountain Lion incomplete? The power nap app does not work with my mac book pro 2011!! When are we going to have or get it?

I have a Mac Book Pro 13-inch mid 2010, and it says that the power nap is not working for it, just working for the new Mac's, even thought that I am using the last version OS X Mountain Lion Version 10.8, etc....

When is going to be solve this problem? When are we going to be able to have it?
