All of a sudden my ipad3 touch stopped working. i turned it off and tried to start again.my touch does not respond.... feeling sad as it happened after i bought this just 3days back

i bought a Ipad 3 just before 3 days. Now i configured for icloud today. and i played couple of games.then i put off the screen and after 10-15 min i tried to on. It started but the touch doesnt respond to enter the password. 😟 please help me what to do now... (its in brand new condition, it didnt fell down r used roughly. i used it as if it is a small baby)
