Q: My iPod shuffle is not being recognized by my computer. I have the original USB cord but when I plug it into my computer there is no recognition. The first time I plugged it in it recognized but never again.

My iPod shuffle is not being recognized by my computer. It is flashing orange and when plugged in with the original USB cable nothing happens to show the computer recognizes it.

Flashing orange usually means it is being recognized by the computer. The flashing means do not disconnected, because the shuffle's "disk" is mounted.

In iTunes (with the shuffle connected), when you look in the sidebar (left side of window), under DEVICES, the iPod is not shown there? Does it say DEVICES in the sidebar?

MY COMPUTER SAYS TO CONNECT A DEVICE EVEN THOUGH THE DEVICE IS CONNECTED.
