This can be done on AT&T and T-Mobile iPhones but not on Verizon iPhones here in the US. ther carriers such as Verizon require this to be done online through their websites depending on the carrier of course.
Contact your carrier.
Right - just make sure your carrier supports this option. Best bet is to call your carrier, usually by calling 611 from the device.
