Sep 3, 2012 4:55 AM in response to mille1jby Bamtan,I believe it's something to do with the signature trying to sync to the other device. I haven't been able to find a solution myself - a very frustrating change to Mail.app.

Oct 22, 2012 2:50 AM in response to mille1jby Timtex,Hi All,
I'm just trying to help here. So let me get the senerio correct. You have signature 1 and signature 2 installed in computer A. In computer B, you also have signature 1 and signature 2 installed as well. Is this correct?
Before assuming that this is an iCloud syncing problem which I hope not, please check this:
1. Assuming that you have already installed signature 1 and signature 2 and it is working fine on computer 1, make sure you have signature 1 selected in the "Choose signature" drop-down menu (located at the bottom) in Mail>Preferences>Signatures for your corresponding Mail account. The same goes for signature 2. After this is done, when you open a new compose message window, your html signature will pop up near the bottom of your window.
2. When installing your html signature into Mail, you have to ensure that the .mailsignature file is locked after you edit it with your html codes. For more details on this, please view my tutorial: http://mydesignpad.com/create-a-html-email-signature-for-mac-os-x-mountain-lion- 10-8/
Hope this helps, let me know how it goes.

Feb 28, 2013 12:07 PM in response to mille1jby nholm,Try this, which worked for me:
- Close Mail
- Go to System Preferences > iCloud
- Uncheck Mail checkbox
- Recheck Mail checkbox
- Restart Mail
Make sure the file AllSignatures.plist in ~/Library/Mail/V2/MailData/Signatures/ has got a new modify date.

Mar 6, 2013 8:05 AM in response to nholmby maplevshoney,This won't work for me. Strangely, the issue seems to be with the Mail app itself. I have deleted all the files in the Signatures folder in the Library. Make a new signature in Mail. Quit Mail and restart. No signature. I have tried every combination of logging out of iCloud, restarting the computer/Mail, etc. I can't get my signatures to stick.
Also worth noting, I have multiple email accounts that aren't synced to iCloud, which also won't remember signatures in Mail.
Big glitch I think.

Sep 26, 2016 11:08 AM in response to mille1jby Rick Feldkamp,I had this problem, but after reading this thread, found that the solution for me was simple.
First, the behavior was that when I opened a new message, my signature would appear, but as soon as I typed in an address in the "to:" field, the signature would disappear. For me, this has nothing to do with iCloud. I have never used it to sync my email across devices. IMAP takes care of that for me.
I discovered that there was a problem with preferences. I went to Mail > Preferences > Signatures. At the left, I selected one of my mail accounts. Then I looked at the bottom of the panel. I discovered that for some reason, the "choose signature:" drop-down box for all of my accounts had been switched to "none". I simply picked the correct signature in the drop-down and everything was fine.
