My iPhone 3GS won't import my contacts

I have a Nokia phone.

I transferred the SIM to an iPhone 3GS, followed all the instructions but my contacts will NOT come over.

I have tried several times. I have synced the SIM and the Nokia memory etc.

I have created a thread in another forum and nobody has a solution so I thought I would try here?
