Aug 14, 2012 11:31 PM in response to rohanjulkaby Kenichi Watanabe,Does this happen in any podcast, or just this one podcast? What about in songs? (If it's only in one podcast, I would delete that podcast from the shuffle and reload it. Also, make sure it plays properly in iTunes.)
What happens when you press the play/pause button again, after it is paused? Does it start over at the beginning. Does it skip to the next item? Does it do nothing and get locked up?
First, do this to Reset the shuffle

If that does not help, I would do a Restore on the shuffle in iTunes. Select shuffle in the iTunes sidebar, under DEVICES. Over to the right, depending on shuffle model, there will be a Summary or Settings tab. The Restore button is there. This will erase the shuffle, re-install its software, and set it to default settings. Any software-related issue should be resolved, so if it still happens, it may be hardware-related (although it would be an oddly specific hardware problem, if it happens only with podcasts).
