move iTunes from pc to mac

Hi - I have bought a Mac and wish to transfer all my itunes from my PC ( operating XP) to my mac

Can you help please

If your media folder is inside the iTunes library folder and is called iTunes Media, and inside that there is a Music folder containing the Artist and Album folders, and all your content is inside the media folder, then you should be able to copy the entire iTunes folder "as is" via an intermediate drive or over your network onto your new computer.


If things are more complicated see How to make a split library portable. Ask questions back here if you need further expanations or a detailed step-by-step for your installation.
