Q: When using any free text app, I cannot get the assigned text tones to work. What amd I doing wrong?

When using any free text free app on my IPod Touch, the assigned text tones will not work. How can I resolve this issue?

iPod touch, iOS 5.1.1

    Are you referring to assigned text tones within the app or text tones you applied with the iPod Settings app?  You should probably check with the developer of the app to see if text tones are supported and if so how to apply them.

    I have tried the applied IPod text tones in Settings, the ones in Text Free and the ones in the Contacts book. I have tired each one separately, tried to use the same choice from all three, which is not possible for the listings are different. I am at a level of total frustration now. The text tones worked once, but now they do not. Any other suggestions? Appreciate  your help.

    You should contact the developer for more help and information on using text tones with their app.
