Hi,
I have 114 in a specific folder, and I would like to copy the names of these files, then paste in with the same names to other 114 files in another folder.
I think it can be done with the Automator, but I don't know how?
Anyone can help?

No, I have 2 folders each folder have 114 files
I want to copy the file names only of the 114 in the first folder, and paste those names to the other 114 files in the second folder

Not sure what you mean by "paste". Do you would like to merge the 2 folders?
And - Do you need to do this only once?

Just use some free file renaming software to do it for you.

I see what you mean you need to copy the names of the files first, but I don't know the script for Automator that will do it.

i can use anyother app if u know any, it doenst have to be with Automator!
No don't know of any, think it's going to be a manual rename.
Press the return key on a selected file then CMD+C then CMD+V to copy the file name and paste it into a text file then copy and paste them back out again to the new files.
Is this what you have:
Folder_1/File001
Folder_1/File002
Folder_1/...
Folder_1/File114
Folder_2/File001
Folder_2/File002
Folder_2/...
Folder_2/File114
Folder1 is source and Folder2 is destination.
Now you would like to move Folder_2/File001 to Folder_2/File001.backup and then copy Folder_1/File001 to Folder_2/File001?

And i want the files in folder 2 to be renamed to the same names as in folder 1
OK - Got it. If you would do it manual, how do you identify that File aa should be named File 001? Content?
