When I went to the User Folder, there was no data in it. What happened to the data from the Previous System?

I have reinstalled OS X 10.4.11 due to boot failure. I archived the previous system before reinstalling the OS. following the HT2196 Article, I tried to creat a new image of the archived files, but when I went to the User Folder, there was no data in it. What happened to the data from the Previous System?

If you did a proper Archive and Install it will be in the Previous System.

How to Archive & Install:

and this also:

This document explains how to correctly reinstall a prior version of Mac OS X in the event that other troubleshooting does not resolve an issue:

Klaus1,

Thanks for your post. I have already gone through the Archive and Install process using the HT1710 document. At that time, I checked the Save Users and Networks option.

The HT2196 article doesn't help, because I find no files in the User Folder.

This link takes me to the Apple Support home page for some reason...

Any other thoughts on how to find the Users files?
