Q: Upgrade ram

Is it reasonable to do a simple upgrade of my RAM by just adding 4GB kit (2x2gb) to the 2 empty slots on my iMac?

Please remember that iMacs are finicky with the quality of the RAM, so only buy quality RAM from reputable sources such as OWC (macsales.com) or Crucial.
