Q: my ipod classic won't recognise anything

my ipod classic won't recognise everything, won't even turn on, it doesn't even register with iTunes, is there any way it can be repaired or do I have to buy a new one?

Have you worked through each and every suggestion in this Apple support document?

    iPod won't turn on

If so, it's likely a good indication of a hardware issue.  As to what exactly is damaged/faulty is hard to say for sure. You can bring it to your local Apple Store/Genius Bar to have them take a look at it and verify whether or not the iPod is indeed dead and in need or repair or replacement.

A third party repair service will be less expensive, but not always guaranteed.
