Safari has a left hand column that has button "Add Page" and image of glasses. Says Reading List. How do I remove it?
Clicking the glasses icon should show and hide the reading list. Click it and it shoud dissapear.
Click "View" menu in the menu bar.
Select "Hide Reading List".
Thanks! Had trouble finding "Glasses icon" until I dragged it from "Customize tool bar" menu.
First entry in the Bookmarks Bar. View > Show Bookmarks bar.
Thanks THAT SOLVED the PROB!

I appreciate your goodwill and that is worth more than 100 points.
Best wishes. And I thank you.
do you know how to actually remove the icon from the toolbar itself? thanks!
Go to Safari menu > preferences > Bookmarks tab > uncheck 'Include reading list'.

We've all been there. Glad I was able to help.
