Just an update. I trashed all that had to do with
ilife in applications, library and receipts. Loaded
first ilife and then ilife 04. When I loaded ilife
05, I got same itunes warning in the iphotos pane.
Did you see the link offered you in the other thread, which pointed to this:
"The preferences file for iMovie 5 has the same name as the prefs file for iMovie 6. Reinstalling iMovie 5 causes it to inherit the iMovie 6 prefs file, which causes that problem. (I see the same problem here when I run iMovie 5 after running iMovie 6. I use both.)
Discard the prefs file and iMovie 5 will create a new one when it next launches. The file is in your Home/Library/Preferences folder. Quit iMovie before trashing it."
Adding to that...
iMovie 4 and iMovie 5 do NOT share the same preferences file — the name of the prefs file for iMovie 4 is "com.apple.iMovie3.plist" (yes, a 3) while the name for iMovie 5 and iMovie 6 is "com.apple.iMovie.plist". Installing iMovie 4, then installing iMovie 5 will NOT solve the photos problem in iMovie 5. Try discarding the iMovie 5 prefs file, as suggested earlier.
