Are AWDD codes in Diagnostic bad?
I have a lot of awdd messages show up under my diagnotic tab. Are these a bad thing?

Not really. Some 'crushing' apps are responsible.
You can disable it, so it won't worry you anymore:
Settings > About > Diagnostics & Usage > Don't Send
