Q: After I unlock my iPod Touch 4g the screen responds after 7 or 8 seconds. This is really annoying. It is a White 8 GB iPod Touch. I have 4.5 GB free on my Device. That makes it like 60% free.

This is really annoying. It is a White 8 GB iPod Touch. I have 4.5 GB free on my Device. That makes it like 60% free. I have the iOS 5.1.1 running on my respective device. It usually happens when i use it after 5 minutes. Is there a way to fix this problem??

I did a restore then it worked well for 1 day then this same issue came right out of the blue again.

HELP!!

    That is normal. To reduce the lag you have to periodically close all apps in the recently used dock (what comes up when you double click the Home button) and power off and then back on the iPod.

    Thanks a million for the reply mate.

    U see, I have been using my ipod touch 4g that WAS running on the iOS 5.0.1 for 5 months. I have "recently" upgraded my iOS firmware 5.0.1 to iOS 5.1.1.

    All the time i had used my iDevice on iOS 5.0.1 it USED to work like a real charm.

    Then i upgraded.....

    I was experiencing a few dificulties like crashes, stuck on the apple logo,etc.

    I fixed all that with a restore.

    That brings us to where we are now. This issue.....

    Over the last 5 months it didn't have this issue but now unfortunately there is.......

    I did another restore cuz i was sick 'n' tired of this issue but didn't help a bit.

    I did pay attention to your kind reply where you mentioned that we have to close each app periodically after we close it with a single press of the home button. Well you know.... I do that everytime but still doesn't help. It does make my iDevice faster though... But this issue is i think regarding he locksreen system. Read my issue carefully. The screen response... And this is the one and only issue i have on my iPod touch 4g. The screen responds after 7 or 8 seconds after i unlock it(Going from lockscreen to springboard).
