Aug 15, 2012 5:08 PM in response to lllaassby hello2u,I had to get a replacement ipod from apple and I'm unable to use the "find my iphone" app. I thought if I reset to factory settings that it might correct the problem. It shows up on the device screen in the app, but it is unable to locate it. Just a thought.

When you use the Maps app does the iPod find its location?
Restoring the iPod to factory settings/new iPod erases the iPod. If you have all media in your iTunes library and a backup, restoring from that backup will make the iPod like it was when the backup was made.
