I want to install Vista on my early 2009 iMac, cannot do it running Mountain Lion.
According to Apple, these are the computer models that can only install Widows 7; I am running an early 2009 iMac. Apple sent the following article to me; my computer is not listed, but when I attempt to use BootCamp to install Windows Vista, I am only give the choice of installing Windows 7 driver, and installing Windows 7. I tried installing Viata, but my serial number was rejected. This is a factory purchased disk, and was installed on my iMac before I installed Lion and then Mountain Lion. Anyone else had the problem? Here is the article sent to me by Apple support. I have the correct firmware installed.
