Change Quick Time Default in Mountain Lion

The version of Quick Time that comes bundled with Mountain Lion wouldn't play the .wma files generated by my voice recorder. So, on the advice of this forum, I installed Quick Time 7, which works great. Now I want to make it my default (or get rid of the bundled version of QT), but haven't been able to figure out how to do either.

Any advice?
