Epson Perfection 3200 Photo scanner driver

Hi, I have an Epson Perfection 3200 photo scanner. I cannot find a valid driver for my MacBook pro. The Epson support page says a driver is available but must be downloaded via Apple's software update (app store). I tried this to no avail. I also downloaded an software Epson printer and scanner software package from the Apple support page but upon installing it can find only printer drivers and none for scanner. Has anyone an idea what else I copuld try?

I just updated my Epson Perfection 1650 software from the App Store since I updated to Mountain Lion. I plugged in the Scanner, went to the Apple menu and clicked on "Software Update". After the searching process, an update appeared which I installed. This worked on my MacBook Air that I had updated from Lion to Mt. Lion. To find the application once installed, I had to go to spotlight and type in Epson Perfection to which the new applicaiton appeared. This only worked when the scanner was connected. When I disconnected the scanner, the application was no longer available. It appeared to work, although as of now, I did not complete a scan. When I attempted to update the scanner driver in my MacBook Pro that I had updated from Snow Leopard to Mt. Lion using the same process, the App Store does not recognize the scanner and says no updates available. I am asking the community if it has a solution for this issue. Instructions on how to update for Mt. Lion are on the Epson support website.
