How can I get my $50+ credit balance reinstated?

I have changed my email address when my computer crashed and have lost my $50+ credit at iTunes.

How can I get it reinstated?

Are you signing into the iTunes Store using the account ID and password under which the card was redeemed? Or are you trying to use a new iTunes Store account you set up with that new email address?

I edited my account with a new email address however the $50+ was gone before the computer crashed.

You'll need to go here, then:

iTunes Support

and follow the instructions to report the issue to the iTunes Store.
