How do i actually see if i have a backup without resetting my phone. just want to make sure its there. thankyou

iTunes>Preferences(under the Edit menu if using Windows)>Devices...your iOS backups will be listed here.
I'm assuming you back up to iTunes on your computer. If so, here's how to check:
Open iTunes, and go to iTunes --> Preferences on the menu. Click the "Devices" tab near the top. You should see your iPhone there and the time of its last backup.
I neglected to say I have been backing up to iCloud. I just don't know which is better
IMO, iCloud is better for backing up. That way you don't have to worry if something happens to your computer. Others might say differently.
Anyway, check Settings > iCloud > Storage and Backup > Manage Storage. Also, under Storage and Backup, underneath the Back Up Now button at the bottom, it should give you the date/time of the most recent backup.
Thanks guys for helping. Now i have another question every time i log on to my icloudaccount email i get an error message cannot connect to the server .thanks in advance.
