I seem to be having a problem opening iPhoto, whenever i try to open it an error message comes up saying "you cant open the application iphoto because it may be damaged or incomplete" It was working late yesterday then nothing, if anyone can help id appreciate it.

Actually that is simply not possible. It is like saying my iPhone cracked its own screen or my car drive it's self into a phone pole.
In any case reinstalling iPhoto from the original source is the answer
